Counting down the days....

We are counting down the days until Christmas.... I am so excited to see how Troy acts this year. We just have to get Troy healthy for the big day. We were up all night with him last night. He has been running a temp of any where between 100-102 with no other symptoms. He is visiting Dr. S today to see what's going on. Hopefully not another ear infection. Peanut has had a rough year. Hopefully 2010 will be a better year for all of us.

Friday was the big day. Troy was back to normal about 3 hours after the surgery. He is a trooper. He did such a wonderful job. However, mommy cried her eyes out when they put him to sleep! Very emotional day! He had an ear infection in his left ear. Craziness! So glad we decided to take care of this now rather than later. I am hoping for the best. Thanks for all the well wishes!!

This weekend we took our last camping trip of the year to Yogi Bear. Troy and I were sick but we rented a cabin, so we were warm and cozy inside. Troy dressed up as a little skeleton. E and I dressed up as Hippies. Too cute. I will post more pictures soon. It was not the same with out Mom and Dad. Dad was in the hospital. He is home now and feeling better. Troy was not interested in Trick or Treating one bit. He just enjoyed being around the other kids. He does not get much interaction with children, as he is the only grandchild. Anyone know of any kiddie groups/ Play groups in the evening or weekends? My husband and I both work during the day.

The past two weeks have been a nightmare at the homestead. The whole family has been sick. First E was sick with a sinus infection, then Troy with the Croup and an Ear infection and then I went to the dr. on Friday and the dr. Dx me with Whooping cough. When is this sickness going to end? Anyone have any suggestions? We have disinfected the house with Lysol and wipes. Opened the house to get some fresh air. Not sure what else to do!!! Hoping things get better soon!

First Hair Cut

Last week, after our visit to the ENT, we stopped by Lake Forest mall. We took Troy to Cartoon Cuts to get his first HAIR CUT! Wow, I never thought it would be that sad to see his curls gone! He loved it there. He watched Barney the whole time she was cutting his hair.

This first year has flown by so quickly. My lil man is now 14 months old. He is walking, playing, saying some works. ie, Momma, daddy, memaw, melmel, melmo, ninny, and he has learned some sign language. His favorite sign is "more".
